పోగొట్టుకున్న రూ.16 లక్షల విలువైన బంగారు ఆభరణాలు బాధితులకు అప్పగించిన వేలేరు పోలీసులు
వేలేరు పోలీసులు అప్రమత్తతతో వ్యవహరించి, పోగొట్టుకున్న సుమారు రూ.16 లక్షల విలువైన 100 గ్రాముల బంగారు ఆభరణాలను బాధితులకు తిరిగి అందజేశారు.
వేలేరు మండల కేంద్రానికి చెందిన గంజి రమేష్ బాబు తన కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో కలిసి నిన్న మధ్యాహ్నం లింగంపల్లి సమ్మక్క–సారలమ్మ జాతరకు కారులో బయలుదేరారు. ఈ క్రమంలో మినరల్ వాటర్ను ట్యాంకులో నింపుకునేందుకు వాటర్ ట్యాంక్ను తీసే సమయంలో, కారు డిక్కీలో ఉన్న బంగారు ఆభరణాల బ్యాగ్ అనుకోకుండా కింద పడిపోయింది. ఈ విషయం గమనించని బాధితుడు జాతరకు వెళ్లిపోయారు.
తిరుగు ప్రయాణంలో కారు డిక్కీలో బ్యాగ్ కనిపించకపోవడంతో ఆందోళనకు గురైన రమేష్ బాబు, ఇంట్లోనూ వెతికారు. అక్కడ కూడా లభించకపోవడంతో రోడ్డు మార్గంలోనే బ్యాగ్ పడిపోయి ఉండవచ్చని అనుమానించి, ఈ రోజు ఉదయం వేలేరు పోలీసులకు సమాచారం అందించారు.
సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు ఎస్సై సురేష్ కుమార్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో వెంటనే చర్యలు చేపట్టి, మండల కేంద్రంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన సీసీ కెమెరాల దృశ్యాలను పరిశీలించారు. సదర్ రోడ్డుపై పడిపోయిన బంగారు ఆభరణాల బ్యాగ్ను అక్కడే ఉన్న ఓ వ్యాపారి తీసుకున్నట్లు గుర్తించిన పోలీసులు, అతని వద్ద నుంచి బ్యాగ్ను స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. అనంతరం బంగారు ఆభరణాల బ్యాగ్ను బాధిత దంపతులకు ఎస్.ఐ. చేతుల మీదుగా అప్పగించారు.
వేగంగా స్పందించి తమ పోయిన బంగారాన్ని తిరిగి అందజేసిన వేలేరు పోలీసులకు బాధితులు కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.
