వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో ఇనుప ఖనిజ నిల్వలపై పార్లమెంట్ లో ప్రశ్నించిన వరంగల్ ఎంపీ డా.కడియం కావ్య
వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో ఖనిజ సంపదపై స్పష్టత ఇవ్వాలని, గనుల అభివృద్ధి, పర్యావరణ అనుమతులు, స్థానిక సంస్థలకు ఆదాయ భాగస్వామ్యం, గనుల భద్రతా తనిఖీలపై కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ వైఖరిని వరంగల్ పార్లమెంట్ సభ్యురాలు డా. కడియం కావ్య ప్రశ్నించారు.
వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో సుమారు 40 మిలియన్ టన్నుల ఇనుప ఖనిజ నిల్వలు ఉన్నాయని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం లోక్సభలో అంగీకరించినప్పటికి అభివృద్ధి ఎందుకు ముందుకు సాగడం లేదన్న విషయాన్నీ ఎంపీ లేవనెత్తారు.
ఈ మేరకు వరంగల్ఎంపీ డా.కడియం కావ్య ప్రశ్నకు కేంద్ర బొగ్గు, గనుల శాఖ మంత్రి జి. కిషన్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, భారతీయ గనుల బ్యూరో నిర్వహించే జాతీయ ఖనిజ జాబితా (నేషనల్ మినరల్ ఇన్వెంటరీ) ప్రకారం, 2025 ఏప్రిల్ 1 నాటికి ఈ ఇనుప ఖనిజ నిల్వలు ‘రిమైనింగ్ రిసోర్సెస్’ కేటగిరీలో ఉన్నాయని తెలిపారు.
అయితే, ఇప్పటివరకు వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో ఒక్క ప్రధాన ఖనిజ గని లీజు కూడా మంజూరు కాలేదని, ఒక్క ఖనిజ బ్లాక్ కూడా వేలం వేయలేదని స్పష్టం అవుతుంది. దీంతో జిల్లాలో అపారమైన ఖనిజ సంపద ఉన్నప్పటికీ, ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు, స్థానిక అభివృద్ధి, గ్రామ పంచాయతీలకు ఆదాయం వంటి ప్రయోజనాలు ప్రజలకు దక్కని పరిస్థితి కొనసాగుతోందని ఎంపీ విమర్శించారు. కేంద్రం గనుల అభివృద్ధిపై నిర్లక్ష్య వైఖరి అవలంబిస్తోందని, తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతాల పట్ల వివక్ష చూపుతోందంటూ ఎంపీ విమర్శించారు.
వరంగల్ వంటి వెనుకబడిన జిల్లాల అభివృద్ధికి కేంద్రప్రభుత్వం స్పష్టమైన కార్యాచరణ రూపొందించాలని, ఖనిజ సంపదను ప్రజల సంక్షేమానికి ఉపయోగించే దిశగా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని వరంగల్ ఎంపీ డా. కడియం కావ్య కోరారు.
