జాతీయ వైద్యుల దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా మంగళవారం హనుమకొండ జిల్లా రెడ్ క్రాస్ భవన్లో వైద్యులను ఘనంగా సత్కరించారు. రెడ్ క్రాస్ చైర్మన్ పాలకవర్గ సభ్యులు ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హనుమకొండ జిల్లా వైద్య ఆరోగ్యశాఖ అధికారి డాక్టర్ ఎ. అప్పయ్య హాజరయ్యారు.
ముందుగా భారతరత్న డాక్టర్ బిధాన్ చంద్ర రాయ్ చిత్రపటానికి పూలమాల వేసి నివాళులు అర్పించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా DM&HO డా. అప్పయ్య మాట్లాడుతూ –
“విధి నిర్వహణలో డాక్టర్ బిధాన్ చంద్ర రాయ్ను ఆదర్శంగా తీసుకుని ప్రతి వైద్యుడు జాతి నిర్మాణంలో తమ వంతు పాత్రను నిర్వర్తించాలని, ప్రజల్లో ఆరోగ్యం పట్ల అవగాహన కల్పిస్తూ ప్రజారోగ్య వ్యవస్థను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని” సూచించారు.
చైర్మన్ డా. పి. విజయచందర్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ –
“డా. బిధాన్ చంద్ర రాయ్ చేసిన సేవలకు గుర్తింపుగా, ప్రతి సంవత్సరం జులై 1వ తేదీని ‘జాతీయ వైద్యుల దినోత్సవం’గా జరుపుకుంటున్నాం. 1961లో భారత ప్రభుత్వం ఆయనకు ‘భారతరత్న’ పురస్కారం ప్రదానం చేసింది” అని తెలిపారు.
పాలకవర్గ సభ్యులు మాట్లాడుతూ –
“అమ్మ మనకు జన్మనిస్తే, వైద్యులు అనారోగ్య సమయంలో పునర్జన్మను ప్రసాదిస్తారు. నిస్వార్థ సేవకు మారుపేరు వైద్యులు. ప్రతి డాక్టర్ రోజుకు రెండు గంటలు ఉచితంగా వైద్యం అందించాలని కోరుతున్నాం” అని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా డాక్టర్ ఎ. అప్పయ్య, డా. పి. విజయచందర్ రెడ్డి, డా. కె. సుధాకర్ రెడ్డి, డా. ఎం. శేషుమాదవ్, డా. టి. మదన్ మోహన్ రావు, డా. మొహమ్మద్ తహర్ మసూద్, డా. భరద్వాజ్ (లయన్స్ క్లబ్ కంటి దవాఖాన), డా. కంటెం లక్ష్మీనారాయణ లను శాలువా, పుష్పగుచ్ఛం, మెమెంటోతో ఘనంగా సన్మానించారు.
