గ్రామ పంచాయతీ ఎన్నికల సందర్బంగా వరంగల్ పోలీస్ కమిషనరేట్ వ్యాప్తంగా 57 ముఖ్యమైన ప్రాంతల్లో సోమవారం సాయంత్రం 6 గంటల నుండి రాత్రి 9గంటల పోలీసులు నిర్వహించిన నాక బందీ తనిఖీల్లో పోలీసులు మొత్తం 8259 వాహనాలను తనిఖీ చేయగా ఎలాంటి పత్రాలు లేని 173 వాహనాలను పోలీసులు సీజ్ చేశారు. ఇందులో 9 కార్లు, 158 ద్విచక్ర వాహనాలు, 5 ఆటోలు, ఒక ట్రాక్టర్ సీజ్ చేయబడ్డాయి. అలాగే ఈ తనిఖీల్లో అక్రమ మద్యం సంబంధించి మొత్తం 7 కేసులు నమోదు చేసి ఒక లక్ష 18 వేల రూపాయల మధ్యంతో పాటు మూడు లీటర్ల గూడంబా, లక్ష యాభై వేల రూపాయల నగదు, ఎలాంటి అనుమతులు లేకుండా వాహనంలో రవాణా చేస్తున్న 49వేల రూపాయల విలువ గల బాణాసంచా పోలీసులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకోగా,ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసులు ఐదు డ్రంక్ అండ్ డ్రైవ్ కేసులు నమోదు చేశారు.వీటితో పాటు మడికొండ పోలీసులు భట్టుపల్లి గ్రామంలో తనిఖీల్లో మిస్సింగ్ కేసులో కనిపించకుండా పోయిన ఒక వ్యక్తిని పోలీసులు గుర్తించడం జరిగిందని వరంగల్ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ సన్ ప్రీత్ సింగ్ వెల్లడించారు
