కే.యూ. అంతర్గత కళాశాలల క్రీడలు – 2025–26 (దశ-I) ప్రారంభం

కాకతీయ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ టెక్నాలజీ అండ్ సైన్స్ (కిట్స్) వరంగల్లోని ఫిజికల్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ విభాగం ఆధ్వర్యంలో కాకతీయ యూనివర్సిటీ అంతర్గత కళాశాలల పురుషుల క్రీడా పోటీలు – 2025–26 (దశ-I) శుక్రవారం కిట్స్ వారంగల్ ప్లే ఫీల్డ్స్, ఓపెన్ డయాస్ వద్ద ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. ఈ పోటీలు రెండు రోజులపాటు అక్టోబర్ 17 నుండి 18 వరకు జరుగుతాయి.
ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని కాకతీయ యూనివర్సిటీ వైస్ చాన్స్లర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కె. ప్రతాప్ రెడ్డి ప్రారంభించారు. కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరైన ముఖ్య అతిథులలో హుస్నాబాద్ మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే, కిట్స్ అదనపు కార్యదర్శి వోడితల సతీష్ కుమార్, కే.యూ. క్రీడా బోర్డు కార్యదర్శి ప్రొఫెసర్ వై. వెంకయ్య, కిట్స్ ప్రిన్సిపల్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కె. అశోకరెడ్డి, అడ్మినిస్ట్రేటివ్ ఆఫీసర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ పి. రమేశ్ రెడ్డి ఉన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కిట్స్ వారంగల్ చైర్మన్, మాజీ రాజ్యసభ సభ్యులు కెప్టెన్ వి. లక్ష్మీకాంత రావు, ఖజానాదారు శ్రీ పి. నారాయణ రెడ్డి ఆటగాళ్లందరికీ అభినందనలు తెలియజేశారు.
వైస్ చాన్స్లర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కె. ప్రతాప్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, కిట్స్ వారంగల్ విద్యతో పాటు క్రీడలకు కూడా సమాన ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తుందని తెలిపారు. క్రీడలు శారీరక దృఢత్వం, మానసిక స్థిరత్వం, జట్టు భావనను పెంపొందిస్తాయని చెప్పారు. ఓటమిని నిరాశగా కాకుండా, పాఠంగా తీసుకోవాలని విద్యార్థులను సూచించారు.
మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే, కిట్స్ అదనపు కార్యదర్శి వోడితల సతీష్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ, ఫిజికల్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ విద్యార్థుల జీవితంలో కీలకమని పేర్కొన్నారు. కిట్స్ వారంగల్ విద్యార్థుల కోసం 25 ఎకరాల విస్తీర్ణంలో అవుట్డోర్ ప్లే ఫీల్డ్స్, ఇండోర్ స్టేడియం, జిమ్నేషియం వంటి సౌకర్యాలను కల్పించిందన్నారు. “గెలుపు-ఓటమి రెండూ ఆటలో భాగమే, పాల్గొనడమే నిజమైన క్రీడాస్ఫూర్తి” అని అన్నారు.
క్రీడా బోర్డు కార్యదర్శి ప్రొఫెసర్ వై. వెంకయ్య మాట్లాడుతూ, క్రీడలు విద్యతోపాటు ఆరోగ్యవంతమైన జీవనానికి దోహదపడతాయని చెప్పారు. “ఆడటమే ముఖ్యం – గెలవడం, ఓడిపోవడం రెండూ సహజం” అని అన్నారు.
కిట్స్ ప్రిన్సిపల్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కె. అశోకరెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ కే.యూ. పరిధిలోని 31 కళాశాలల నుండి సుమారు 750 మంది క్రీడాకారులు పోటీలలో పాల్గొంటున్నారని చెప్పారు. విద్యార్థులు విరాట్ కోహ్లీ, నీరజ్ చోప్రా, విశ్వనాథన్ ఆనంద్, పి.వి.సింధు, పి.టి.ఉషా వంటి క్రీడాకారుల నుండి ప్రేరణ పొందాలని సూచించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో కే.యూ. ఎన్ఎస్సెస్ కోఆర్డినేటర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ ఈ. నారాయణ, రిజిస్ట్రార్ ప్రొఫెసర్ ఎం. కోమల్ రెడ్డి, కిట్స్ అడ్మినిస్ట్రేటివ్ ఆఫీసర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ పి. రమేశ్ రెడ్డి, హెచ్ఓడి ఫిజికల్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ డాక్టర్ ఎం. శ్రీనివాస్ రెడ్డి, పిఆర్ఓ డాక్టర్ డి. ప్రభాకర చారి, బోధకులు, సిబ్బంది మరియు 31 కళాశాలల నుండి వచ్చిన 750 మంది క్రీడాకారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
