మేడారం మహా జాతరను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం చేపట్టిన అభివృద్ధి పనులను అనుకున్న సమయానికి పూర్తి చేస్తామని, తాత్కాలిక పనులు కాకుండా రెండు వందల సంవత్సరాల పాటు చెక్కుచెదరకుండా ఉండే శాశ్వత పనులనే చేపట్టామని రాష్ట్ర రెవెన్యూ, హౌసింగ్, సమాచార పౌర సంబంధాల శాఖ మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస్ రెడ్డి స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఆదివాసీ గిరిజనుల మనోభావాలు దెబ్బతినకుండా సంప్రదాయాలకు అనుగుణంగా ఆలయ పునరుద్ధరణ పనులు కొనసాగుతున్నాయని తెలిపారు.
మంగళవారం మేడారంలో రాష్ట్ర మంత్రి ధనసరి అనసూయ సీతక్క, ముఖ్యమంత్రి సలహాదారు వేం నరేందర్ రెడ్డి, మహబూబాబాద్ పార్లమెంట్ సభ్యులు పోరిక బలరాం నాయక్, జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ టి.ఎస్. దివాకర్, ఎస్పీ సుధీర్ రామ్నాథ్ కేకన్, ఐటిడిఏ పీవో చిత్ర మిశ్రా, డీఎఫ్వో రాహుల్ కిషన్ జాదవ్ తదితరులతో కలిసి మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస్ రెడ్డి శ్రీ సమ్మక్క–సారలమ్మ ఆలయ అభివృద్ధి పనులను పరిశీలించారు. సాండ్స్టోన్ శిల్పాలు, క్యూ లైన్ నిర్మాణం, గోవిందరాజు–పగిడిద్దరాజుల గద్దెలు, ఆలయ ఫ్లోరింగ్, ప్రహరీలో వెదురు బొంగుల ఆకారంలో స్తంభాలు, చిలుకలగుట్ట రోడ్డు, స్తూపం, కన్నెపల్లి, జంపన్నవాగు, ఆర్టీసీ బస్ స్టేషన్ పరిసరాల్లో జరుగుతున్న పనులను ఆయన సమీక్షించారు.
అనంతరం మేడారంలోని హరిత హోటల్లో ఉన్నత స్థాయి అధికారులు, గుత్తేదారులతో సమావేశమై జాతర అభివృద్ధి పనుల పురోగతిని కూలంకషంగా సమీక్షించి కీలక ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు. ఆలయ ప్రాంగణం, రాత్రి నిర్మాణాలు, సివిల్ వర్క్స్, గద్దెల చుట్టూ గ్రిల్స్, ప్రాకారం బయటి వైపు సీసీ రోడ్లు డిసెంబర్ 31లోపు పూర్తి చేయాలని, ఇతర పనులు జనవరి 5లోపు పూర్తిచేయాలని సూచించారు. ప్రధాన ద్వారం నిర్మాణం కూడా జనవరి 5లోపు పూర్తి చేయాలని, అన్ని శాఖలు సమన్వయంతో పనిచేయాలని ఆదేశించారు.
జాతర సమయంలో భక్తులకు ఎలాంటి అసౌకర్యాలు కలగకుండా తాగునీరు, విద్యుత్, లైటింగ్ ఏర్పాట్లను శాశ్వత ప్రాతిపదికన చేపట్టాలని తెలిపారు. ఆలయ ప్రాంగణం నుంచి గద్దెల ప్రాంతం వరకు సెంట్రల్ లైటింగ్, రహదారుల ఇరువైపులా విద్యుత్ స్తంభాల ఏర్పాటు, వాటర్ ట్యాంకుల నిర్మాణం వేగవంతం చేయాలని చెప్పారు. జాతరకు వచ్చే అన్ని రహదారుల నిర్మాణం పూర్తిచేయాలని, ఐటిడిఏ ఆధ్వర్యంలో శాశ్వత అభివృద్ధి పనులకే ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వాలని, సుందరీకరణలో భాగంగా గ్రీన్ ప్లాంటేషన్, రెవెన్యూ ప్లాంటేషన్ చేపట్టాలని ఆదేశించారు. ఈసారి గతం కంటే 200 శాతం ఎక్కువగా భక్తులు వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉందని అంచనా వేశారు.
మంత్రి సీతక్క మాట్లాడుతూ, ఆదివాసీ గిరిజనుల అస్తిత్వాన్ని కాపాడుతూ పనులు చేపట్టామని, గత జాతర అనుభవాల ఆధారంగా అన్ని ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. పోలీస్, ఆర్అండ్బీ శాఖలు సమన్వయంతో పనిచేయాలని సూచించారు. ఎంపీ బలరాం నాయక్ మాట్లాడుతూ మహా జాతరను విజయవంతం చేయడంలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక శ్రద్ధ చూపుతోందని అన్నారు.
విలేకరుల సమావేశంలో మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, గిరిజన సంస్కృతి ఉట్టిపడేలా పాలరాతి శిల్పాలతో గద్దెల ప్రాంత పునరుద్ధరణ వేగంగా జరుగుతోందని తెలిపారు. 29 ఎకరాల భూసేకరణతో రోడ్డు విస్తరణ పనులు చేపట్టామని, భక్తులకు ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా అన్ని చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నామని చెప్పారు. రానున్న మేడారం మహా జాతరకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి, ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి, మంత్రులు, ప్రతిపక్ష నాయకులను ఆహ్వానించనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
